The Top Comments diary series was begun on June 14, 2006. It published daily until January 2021 and now runs at 7pm Pacific time as often as we can make possible, generally Monday thru Friday. We aim to publish pointers to the best comments from the previous 24 hours, and also note which comments receive the most recs from users in that period.
