As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

Greetings, friends of mine, and welcome to another Saturday! I will admit it, I was wrong. I fought against Duolingo for a very long time, because i did not want yet another program pestering and trying to take up more time in my day. Then someone whispered in my ear… “They have Klingon.” and after a lot of thought, I decided that I wanted to learn Klingon again more than I wanted to be right. So that is where it began, I started with Klingon, and was pleased to find that I still enjoy it as much now as I did when I was a very young college student.
Then not to long ago, they added chess to the list of things ytou could learn, and having been a fan of the game, even if not particularly talented at it, since I was nine, and an older cousin of mine introduced me to chess on my computer, I decided to add that too, to my daily routine. I have learned that while I am by no means a master of the game, I knew a lot more of it than I ever thought I did, even if I did not know the names.
So here we are, several months down the road from where I began, and while I may not be any smarter, I at least know more than I did, -And- by some math-magical miracle, I seem to have risen to the top eight percent… in the world… in less than a year, What has happened to my life?
