Facts on the "War on Drugs'

It's awfully hard to get facts now days so I thought I'd do some of the FACT thing.

FACTS on the "War" on drugs:

WHAT: There is an scandalously enormous amount of dangerous, deadly and illegal drugs pouring into the USA.

WHY: The American people want these drugs and are willing to pay scandalously enormous amounts of money to procure them.

WHO: Countries with or without drug cartels will provide that need the American people are demanding.

WHY: Because, as stated above, the America people have the money for and will pay for the product.

THE PROBLEM: I don't know if you noticed that there is a reoccurring theme above "The American people" not the cartels or countries scrambling to meet our needs. What makes them bad, dangerous killers and criminals is the fact the the demanded trade is illegal here in spite of the enormous demand.

CONCLUSION: This is simply dark, black market Capitalism. Supply and Demand at its core, like it or not.

SOLUTION: Surprisingly simple, eliminate the enormous amounts of money to drain the market. Make the drugs legal controlled substances and treat the enormous demand as what it is a "Social" issue that demands we help others who have this problem. Bombing boats and tough guy bullshit does not solve or even slightly mitigate the problem. We've been doing that for years and nothing has changed.
