Good morning, beloved Newdists. I’ve spent the whole week guzzling soup and sleeping, and occasionally reading abject trash as a palate cleanser. It’s mostly worked. In fact, has helped prodigiously. I’m even feeling human, instead of feeling like wet cardboard. I’m trying to assemble this diary and my internet provider is nawt cooperating. How are you all doing?

I found a fluorescent watercolor palette at a website. They used to have a storefront in NYC, and recently closed it. So, if I want this item, I have to order it from Germany, with tariffs, and shipping costs. And, they have another set that also looks like something I really want as well. Ugh. I may have to wait an entire 3 yrs to get them. And all because angry, whingy children are in DC, running the Govt.

American crows are among the smartest and most adaptable birds in North America. In the fall, they form large communal roosts, sometimes gathering hundreds to thousands of birds. These groups help them stay safe, alerting to predators.

An American Dipper catches breakfast 🐦💦

The American Dipper is North America’s only aquatic songbird. Most of their food is caught underwater, and as you can see in this video, this dipper caught an aquatic larva.

Supermoon Timelapse: The super "Cold Moon" rises behind the Nubble Lighthouse, and it actually did look larger than usual, partly because I was slightly further away than other moonrises here (2.3 miles), and it being a supermoon. Usually I don't notice a size difference.
