I would help, but

Countless people around the globe want to help those facing hard times so they say. But the number of obstacles people seem to place on their own path towards helping others has me baffled most of the time. That’s one of the major problems in this world, everyone wants problems solved, people helped, but most still sit on the sidelines waiting and hoping others are doing it for them.

As someone who goes around almost every month trying to help a few families in Haiti, let me tell you, it’s not a walk in the park, if it weren’t for people counting on me I’d given up months ago. But it ain’t about me and really It ain’t really that difficult to spare 5 or 10$ a month in my opinion. Pretend I’m a recurring bill. A streaming service. A bank fee. I don’t know, I’d be just as grateful to stop asking every month as you’d be to stop seeing my posts asking for help.

If I could get 100 folks out of the thousands following me to spare 10$ a month, I could rotate the families and make do for them. It ain’t the best solution, but it’s real help to real people with real needs.

Just a little frustrated rant.
