It’s Chaos Day! Friday, I mean.

You know it’s going to be chaos, because the day starts in chaos. That is to say, with me, and no direction.

Today is supposedly the deadline for the DOJ briefing on the progress toward the mandated “release” of the “Epstein files.” Just two weeks left until they’re supposed to be out!

Today’s countdown numbers:

56 days until funding for most of the government ends again, and we face another shutdown
1,142 days remaining in Trump’s legal term of office
333 days until the midterm elections, if we have them
394 days—if we have those elections—until we seat that new Congress.

Our random country generator says, today’s an unlucky day for: Cape Verde!

Well, I couldn’t think of a reason why Trump would threaten to invade Cape Verde. (Although I’ll bet he’d love to have a golf course there.)

Then, when I read the country’s Wikipedia page, I found this: On 2 February 2024, Cape Verde became the third African country to be free of malaria.

So I figured that RFK Jr. might want to invade, and bring malaria back.

Ha ha! Oh, well. That’s Our Trump!™
