What to you is this spirit?

December is the only time people feel free to be good, joyous, loving, happy, etc… without thinking about if it’s right/wrong, what will people think. When they are asked “why you so peppy today?” they have a built in excuse “it’s the holiday season!”.

It’s both exhilarating and sad. Exhilarating because I just love seeing people happy and sad cause I wish people were like this all year round. But let’s focus on the positives!

That’s what the “holiday season” is to me, it’s like joy and love blooming. Don’t get me wrong the gifts are nice also especially gifts for kids, but mostly it’s the joy that can’t stop bubbling from underneath all those restraints people usually have on.

Nate and I enjoy decorating the house, same old decorations, same old music and same old love for the season. We usually try to make a ham and when we don’t have enough dough we just buy sliced smoked slices lol. When we have enough we usually invite some folks to eat with us!

Thing about making people smile, is that usually it makes one smile also! Anyways don’t feel bad if the economy is not up to your usual holiday spendings, find a way to make do with what you got it’s the love that counts.
