Only a month ago, the premise of the #ImmediateFlipMovement would’ve been naive at best, excessively optimistic. But now we’re on the verge of a war with Venezuela that may cost American lives, and the justification for this may simply boil down to needing a diversion to overshadow the manipulations involved in minimizing damage to Trump when the Epstein files are released.
Trump’s net favorable ratings are likely headed into the high 20s within the next month as the loss of ACA subsidies for tens of millions of Americans hits home. So those House Republicans continuing to cling to Trump’s slimy coattails could see their victory margins of 2024 swing blue by 20 or even 30%.
For many, this forces the consideration of ways to stay in Congress despite the anticipated Trump slump. They are:
- Half-hearted defiance based on a few locally important issues. Prognosis: Only good for five or so points of improvement.
- Switching to Democrat. Prognosis: Likely to cleave off 70% of their base while leaving existing Dems bitter for their past actions. They’ll be unlikely to support them in the Dem primaries against true progressives.
- Being the obedient tool and letting Trump establish #RepubloFascism with a likelihood of no fair elections in 2026. Prognosis: They’ll see the remainder of their souls hollowed out, yet may retain and expand power as long as the Trump regime lasts. But they’ll be hated by current and future generations.
- Declare as independent, caucusing with Dems to trigger nation-saving oversight by a #BlueHouse. Prognosis: Severe short-term pain, followed by a lifetime of gratitude that could pay off in a leadership role within GOP 2.0 - what rises from the ashes of the current Republican Party.
Sadly, everything we’ve seen and heard from GOP 1.0 thus far indicates that they will be cowardly clinging to Option 3. But the appeal of lockstep rubber-stamping the #TrumpMuskMillerVoughtProject2025Billionaire agenda is waining daily. And the grind of running a doomed and feckless campaign next year must give them pause, particularly since Dems should thoroughly sweep Congress as the fallout hits rural America hard.
We need a three-pronged assault to convince the dozens of truly vulnerable House Republicans to see Option 4 as the right fit for them, politically, emotionally, and even in considering their legacy. And the tens of millions of us who’ve already hit the streets can gently encourage them to be among the first #ConscientiousDEFECTORS in the
#ImmediateFlipMovement
We may be the wind in the sails in every corner of the nation to promote this outcome, but the two other prongs in the trident are equally essential.
The center prong needs to start the bleeding THIS MONTH. Even a minority status in the House can’t stop well-crafted oversight. No subpoena power? No problem when you can bring someone to the House floor who would love to testify.
And here’s just the man to start with, former federal judge Mark L. Wolf. Progressive superstar Robert Reich, former Labor Secretary under Clinton, chose yesterday as the day to celebrate honor in the face of tyranny by reprinting Wolf’s scathing declaration of why chose to resign from the federal bench last month.
Here’s an excerpt from Reich’s post that exposes the key mechanisms that Vought and others have used to kneecap any hint of oversight on Trump and his cabinet.
Trump is also dismantling the offices that could and should investigate possible corruption by him and those in his orbit. Soon after he was inaugurated, Trump fired, possibly unlawfully, 18 inspectors general who were responsible for detecting and deterring fraud and misconduct in major federal agencies. The FBI’s public-corruption squad also has been eliminated. The Department of Justice’s public-integrity section has been eviscerated, reduced from 30 lawyers to only five, and its authority to investigate election fraud has been revoked.
The Department of Justice has evidently chosen to ignore matters it would in the past have likely investigated. Some directly involve the president. It has been reported that at a lavish April 2024 dinner at Mar-a-Lago, after executives from major oil companies complained about how the Biden administration’s environmental regulations were hurting their businesses, Trump said that if they raised $1 billion for his campaign he would promptly reverse those rules and policies. The executives raised the money, and Trump delivered on his promise. The law may be unclear concerning whether Trump himself could have been charged with conspiracy to bribe a public official or honest-services fraud. In addition, Trump himself may have immunity from prosecution if similar payments for his benefit continued after he became president. However, the companies that made the payments, and the individuals acting for them, could possibly be prosecuted. There is no public indication that this matter has been investigated by Trump’s Department of Justice.
These are all things that Wolf couldn’t say as a sitting judge, but in the private sector his knowledge and commitment to reclaiming a properly functioning legal system make him a player in the fight ahead.
Here are the links to Reich’s post on him and the Atlantic article cited:

https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2025/11/federal-judge-resignation-trump/684845/?utm_source=copy-link&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=share
And here’s one last note from Wolf, which may be his new mission statement:
I resigned in order to speak out, support litigation, and work with other individuals and organizations dedicated to protecting the rule of law and American democracy. I also intend to advocate for the judges who cannot speak publicly for themselves.
But the next man who should testify can be even more pivotal: Robert Storch who was the inspector general for the Department of Defense, part of that first wave of fired IGs.
On the House floor, Storch can lay the groundwork for impeaching Secretary of "War”Pete Hegseth.
A fully functioning inspector general department for the DoD would've clamped down hard on Hegseth after his unjustified misogynistic overhaul within the military. And perhaps tighter reins on him could’ve prevented his first boat bombing and more recently Hegseth’s threat to court-martial Dems In Congress who made the video to remind all soldiers not to follow illegal orders.
In this excellent interview with Storch, you can hear all the details on how the firing of inspectors general was the foundational element in #SeditiousConspiracy by the #TrumpMillerVoughtProject2025Cabal in bringing down our democracy and establishing a #RepubloFascist state.
https://federalnewsnetwork.com/agency-oversight/2025/02/the-deposed-inspector-general-from-the-biggest-department-speaks-out/
Storch was also deputy IG for the Justice Department so he can scrutinize the actions of Pam Bondi and Kristi Noem as well. The current DoJ IG Michael Horowitz was not one of those fired because he’s been a Trumper all along.
With a steady parade of testimony by Storch and other fired IGs, Dems can lay the groundwork for quick impeachments across the boards once the gavel is out of Johnson's hand.
And the truths exposed may hasten that process, triggering the #ImmediateFlipMovement among clever GOP defectors. With every new day, the exposure of corruption and abuses of power carve away at the GOP brand due to their collective willingness to stand silent. And eventually even the totally uninformed voter will see how all the dots connect. That will generate a sense of betrayal that will turn all but the #MAGAlomaniacs against the current GOP.
But even all that might not be enough to dislodge the timidly loyal. This is where the third prong fits into the #ImmediateFlipMovement concept, requiring efficient planning and execution by Dem leadership.
That starts when they make the defection option more tantalizing using the initial strategy of #ProjectCarrot. DNC Chair Martin vows not to support a Dem against any of these new independents in 2026 if they FLIP THIS FALL.
No GOP primary, no tough Dem in the general. They can
#FlipTheHouseFALL2025AndBeHeroesForever
Even though they’ll forfeit the House, they’ll keep their seats. And what happens next within #ProjectCarrot will make those seats even more secure in the future. The #BlueHouse will pass a beefed-up version of the #ForThePeopleAct to prevent all the new election theft strategies that Trump and the GOP have deployed.
The key components of the original will remain, including mandating public not private funding for all campaigns. When you include major reforms on superPAC spending and transparency, the influence of billionaires and corporations can be trimmed back significantly. This is where the heavy lifting in getting back our honorable nation really gets done, and where independent defectors get that additional peace of mind.

One of the key weapons that the House can deploy on its own is to craft and vote on a #PresidentialCensure agreement. This aspect of Project Carrot provides a way to get Trump to roll back many of his travesties, with greed as the stick that looks like his personal carrot: if he’s impeached and removed, he can’t keep his $400M jet.
That's the leverage we can use to ensure that we don't get a #VanceThielPresidency, and instead make Trump #LamestDuckEverDonald. Although we might loathe his presence, it will be easier to tolerate with established guardrails.
What started out as a quixotic quest now seems like a reasonable request. Let’s get the #ImmediateFlipMovement rolling. Here’s a way to do your part. Turn these two jpegs into pdfs and send them to the fax machines in offices of vulnerable House Republicans. Even the staffers will take notice and perhaps help in persuasion because this option is what is likely to be needed to keep their jobs…
