It’s Thursday!

It’s the day before Greg Dworkin takes off for the weekend, and the weekend means chaos.

And, uh… it’s five months until Star Wars Day. So, there’s that.

Tomorrow is also the half-way point on the 30-day deadline for the “Department of Justice” to “release” the “Epstein files.”

There’s a bipartisan, bicameral group of legislators demanding a briefing by Friday on how that’s going.

So… 2 days until they fail their first milestone!

Today’s countdown numbers:

57 days until funding for most of the government ends again, and we face another shutdown
1,143 days remaining in Trump’s legal term of office
334 days until the midterm elections, if we have them
395 days—if we have those elections—until we seat that new Congress.

Our random country generator says, today’s an unlucky day for: the United Kingdom!

Are we ready to invade the UK, and trash the Atlantic alliance once and for all? Will we burn down No. 10, in retribution for the burning of the White House during the War of 1812? Or better yet, have Canadians do it for us?

Or will Trump burn (or tear) down the White House a second time, all by himself?
